Recently I’ve written about some of the inspiration for my new fall creations (Creating: fall sneak peek). The first is a rocker look, inspired by Emmanuelle Alt, all black and dark teal. I wrote that this was far from my personal style and more of an ‘I wish’ inspiration. In a way I’m more of a modern minimalist, think Jane Birkin, in the 1970’s. With calm serene neutrals as a foundation. I’m not really one for high, daring wedge heels, shoes or boots. I’m more practical, I have to be in my job, liking flats. I love greys, sands and soft blues. Below is a fashion collage showing the way I imagine a modern, minimal look with neutrals.
This fall Pantone chose orchid hush and quarry as a trend colors and I couldn’t be happier. (To see all the colours 2011 and 2010, look here) These shades makes me think of our fall grey days, cool and quiet. They look amazing with neutrals, creams, taupes, and greys. I’ve been making some gorgeous necklaces, earrings, and bracelets that will look perfect with this style.
